PC POST #364: SDCC17: Description of the Punisher footage & More of the Punisher cameo in Defenders!

As I said in the latest post, I predicted that we could get more news about the Punisher series and his cameo in the Defenders show... and guess what, I was right.

During the SDCC in panel H, before the Defenders news, it was time to show a bit more of the Punisher series. And for the luckiest ones they saw a few bits of what will be Marvel's the Punisher!

Unfortunately, i don't have the footage of what was seen in the SDCC, but I got a very detailed description by Silas Lesnick from ComingSoon.net.

The clip begins with an emotional, dreamlike sequence without any dialogue.Frank Castle is sitting with his daughter, playing guitar. Then he’s alone, still playing guitar and the scene cuts back and forth between to time periods as Castle struggles with the loss of his family.

Cut to a title on the screen that reads “Rural Alabama”.

Frank is driving a truck with a photo of his family on the dashboard. He’s following two motorcycles driven by men that appear to be part of a gang called “Dogs of Hell”. There’s a quick car chase, but Castle makes short work of both bikers. He shoots them with a shotgun from his moving vehicle and then backs over their bodies just to be sure.

Cut to Juarez, Mexico. There’s some kind of party happening with a central figure who we follow with crosshairs to an upstairs bedroom.He’s with two women but still in Frank’s crosshairs. There’s a great bit where we hear the gun blast and a full second later the guy’s head explodes.

The shot pulls back to reveal that Frank is a mile away in El Paso, Texas, on the border with a long range sniper rifle.

Cut to JFK Airport in New York. A grey suited businessman enters a bathroom stall. He’s talking on the phone. “I’m the last one?” he says. “Well, it doesn’t matter. I’ll be there soon.” But not if Castle has anything to say about it. He enters the bathroom and comes right into the guy’s stall, closing the door behind him.

Frank winds up strangling the guy on the stall as two other guys enter the bathroom and laugh at the weird noises coming from the stall. “Get a room, you guys!” they shout.

Let's wait for Netflix to release the Punisher trailer or this footage to the public.

If you think the news end here, relax it doesn't.

Deadline wrote that the episode of the Defenders started with a fight scene when we see Iron Fist and Jessica Jones trying to save an injured Punisher from the Hand. This short clip started before the opening credits of the first episode of the Defenders, that was exclusively premiered yesterday during the SDCC.

Now more than ever, I really want to check out the Marvel's Defenders and see not only about the main characters but how it will be the Punisher cameo.

Until then I will wait for the Netflix to release the Punisher trailer in the upcoming weeks.

PC POST 289: -Insight- Daredevil S02 Trailer #2 (Punisher Centric Trailer)

I finally settle down... It took me a few hours to do it. But now, i'm good.

For those who let slip the upcoming Daredevil S2 trailer #2 with the Punisher in it check the link below.

Well this was clearly a Punisher centric trailer, i was amazed by Jon Bernthal's acting and the script. Bernthal actually gave depth to Frank Castle, he is full of rage, tormented, cold and looks very focused in his mission.

Some people might notice that Bernthal isn't wearing any skull. Yeah, that's right, this is, his Year One story (sort of). Like i have said in other posts he isn't wearing any skulls in his chest. Right now he is Frank Castle, doing is one man army to get rid of the criminals who took away the family from him. At this moment he haven't decide to be the known vigilante called the Punisher.

My guess is that he will be using a skull at the end of season 2. And probably with this design of the latest promo clip.

While i saw this trailer i get the feeling that Frank Castle will be the main "villain" if we can say that. Personally i think Netflix is hiding the main "bad" guy, the Punisher will be the anthagonist of Daredevil, someone who will make him doubt himself about his morals and methods of crime fighting. Maybe we can see more about the main "villain" in the upcoming second part of the trailer that will be released in ten days.

Aside from all the action (which was great) in this trailer here goes some stuff that intrigued me.

Punisher family

 In this picture we can see Frank's daughter ( Lisa?) but i wonder why we can't see the rest of the family. His wife (Maria) and son (Frank Jr.) are missing in this picture. The picture frame cut the rest of the picture but i can see someone holding Frank's hands.

The Carousel

 Don't know if the carousel will have a special meaning but by the look of it, it seems that Frank is waiting for something... Looking at the emptiness until we see him fighting these thugs.

The Grave

First trailer NY Comic Con

Don't know the meaning of this grave that appeared in two trailers, but i can bet this must be where Frank's family is buried.

Guilty or Innocent?

In the trailer we see Frank in a rooftop putting his crosshairs in the head of this person... It wasn't revealed yet who he is, if he is some sort of criminal or some innocent guy that Frank is mistankenly targeting. Let's hope for the first option. He should be a criminal.

PC POST #285: Marvel's Daredevil Official Season 2 Teaser

Finally it was launched today the official season 2 teaser and poster!

By this time i thought we would seen the trailer that was shown in ComicCon Brazil in December but for now this will serve to settle down all the fans who were shouting to the skies for a skull, and here, we have a skull. 

Buckle up for March 18th!

After two days of waiting, here is the high quality teaser launched today by Netflix. There is nothing new to add and everything was explained in the last post.

PC POST #273: Exclusive Teaser for Daredevil S02 [Explained] (Punisher & Elektra)

Yesterday at New York Comic Con was revealed to the public a small teaser with 33 secs for the upcoming Daredevil season 2!

Yesterday at New York Comic Con was revealed to the public a small teaser with 33 secs for the upcoming Daredevil season 2!

Let's review the main points of this trailer. Basically it's centered in Elektra and Punisher. Being the Punisher the main attraction of this teaser.

We have Elektra a bit different from the comics and using some sort of mask or veil, like a ninja. 
In the comics she uses a red bandana.

We see someone in a crime scene picking up a bullet.

Karen seems to pick an x-ray sheet with a stylized skull, which might be the next Punisher logo in the series.

Finally we see Frank walking in a hospital holding a gun, which leads us to the crime scene we saw above. I suspect that this is before whatever will happen in that hospital.

And at the end of the teaser we heard the Punisher say "Beg". 

What a great way to end this teaser and leave every Punisher fan nuts.
