PC POST #351: -Review- DEADPOOL VS PUNISHER #3

Deadpool and Punisher are still looking for Mariana and Hudson to get the backup of the account numbers of the major crime syndicates... But the Bank hired a new player to recover the backup account numbers... the Taskmaster!

I couldn't be more excited about this miniseries, Fred Van Lente and Pere Pérez are making one of the best team up books with the Punisher i've read in awhile.

It's a delight to read a comic book that respects the main characters and Van Lente does it. This third issue reveals the main aspects of personality from Deadpool and Punisher. Any new fan with zero knowledge about these characters would understand perfectly their beliefs and motivations.

I couldn't be more excited to see Taskmaster in this miniseries, specially because the Punisher never met him before and i hope to see these two fighting.

We can expect an action pack story from the beginning till the end with a little bit of a twist by Taskmaster. It was amazing that Taskmaster didn't care about Deadpool, because he knows him, but how interest he showed regarding the Punisher, in one page he describes the Punisher fighting skills while he sent all his mercs against him. Really cool stuff!

The art of Pere Peréz is great. The action scenes are superb and the characters are very well drawn. It's far from being a bored artwork in fact it's a very dynamic artwork. The coloring of Ruth Redmond is as precious as the art of Perez, she gives life and realism to the artwork of Perez and i really loved how she set the perfect tone for this miniseries.

The Good:

Great storytelling;

Amazing artwork;

High level of entertainment.

Not so good:

This should be called Deadpool / The Punisher ( Team up) instead of Deadpool vs Punisher.

PC POST #346: -REVIEW- Deadpool vs The Punisher #01 (2017)

Here it is the one of the most awaited miniseries of the year... Deadpool vs Punisher #01 is out and it was amazing!

Deadpool vs Punisher #01 started really well, great introduction to all the characters and this is the perfect example of a well structured plot. It's not fancy and it's nothing "new", but sometimes it's the simple things that work so well.

Fred Van Lente choose well in giving us the points of view from both characters, we know their objectives and motivations from this very first issue. 

The plot is very simple: Frank wants to put down the Bank because he is linked to the criminal world and Deadpool wants protect him because to him the Bank was good to him all his life.

Van Lente and Perez did make me confused in a good way. The Bank "seems" to be a good man to his face expressions and due to the fact of being a family man. In the other way Frank's mission seems more than enough to put this criminal businessperson down.

The art of Pere Pérez is so good. The characters are so well drawn, the action panels are great, explosions, bullets and blood... Everything you need with two of the most deadly characters in the Marvel Universe.

The expressions of the characters are very accurate, specially with the Punisher. He barely changes his expression giving us the feeling of a cold killer.

The art of Pérez was helped by the colorist Ruth Redmond who set the perfect tone for this first issue.

The cover was nicely done by the most talented cover artist i've seen in the past year... Declan Shalvey with Jordie Bellaire, two names well known in the Punisher current ongoing.

Marvel is betting a lot in this miniseries and the quality is well seen when we read it and watch the artwork.

The Good:

-Great plot;

-Artwork;

-The POV of both characters;

-Highly entertaining issue!

PC POST #345: -PREVIEW- Deadpool vs Punisher #01

Deadpool and Punisher will have fight each other in the upcoming miniseries that will start next Wednesday. 
This miniseries will be written by Fred VanLente and in the pencils will be Pere Perez.

Frank Castle – a man of unstoppable will, and a powerful desire to punish those who do wrong, rooted in the tragic killing of his family. Just one problem, Deadpool isn’t going to let that happen without a fight!These two are in for the most brutal fight of their lives. As the destruction ratchets up to unthinkable levels, who will be left standing when the dust settles?
