Looks great, thanks for the preview. This has been going on for 20 years ending punisher stories where it gets turned up nice for the end. Countdown in 1995 was my favorite with Frank's inner voice talking about normal family life. 1997 where he left the mafia after killing everyone. 1999 Angel punisher ended thankfully. 2000 Welcome Back Frank was an entire excellent run. 2004 Confederacy of Dunces where frank outsmarted the Hulk, Logan, Murdoch, and Parker was excellent. 2008 Valley Forge outstanding although 1 survivor since devil helped was a bit much. Punisher War Journal 2009 killing all those supervillains. Punisher 2012 saving Rachel leading to Punisher war zone mini. This promises to be no different, slow series leading to a dramatic conclusion leading me to wonder why not start any Punisher series this way instead of simply ending them in dramatic fashion. Thanks.
Yeah, this is no different from any of those storylines... but most Punisher comics didn't end with a lame predictable death just for dramatic affect. Most of the storylines you listed are from Garth Ennis who wrote well-written storylines with dark strong smart Frank Castle (MK & MAX) from the first issue to the last. War Journal 2009 had the character getting involved in a Civil War that had nothing to do with him and had him killing a few that were just lame weak forgettable super villains. It was a joke from a lazy hack writer who didn't even understand the character at all, just like Nathan Edmondson.
I say goodbye to a shitty writer and a shitty Punisher run. Thank god it's finally over.
